Our Approach

At BeTech Foundation, we believe in offering individuals alternative career choices in high-demand fields to replace gig work and low-security service industry jobs. Our goal is to lift participants into more stable, meaningful, and lucrative careers that provide long-term growth. Through our vocational training programs, mentorship, and financial support, we focus on empowering individuals with the practical skills needed to succeed. We believe this approach leads to by-products of self-worth, upward mobility, and the ability to give back to their communities. By equipping participants with these tools, we help them achieve sustainable success and contribute positively to society.

Here are some key research findings that support BeTech Foundation

Economic Mobility Through Vocational Training

  • A report by the National Skills Coalition found that vocational training programs in high-demand sectors, such as healthcare and IT, significantly increase the chances of employment stability and upward mobility. It shows that these programs equip individuals with industry-specific skills that lead to higher wages and more secure job prospects than low-wage service industry roles.

Impact of Job Stability on Well-being

  • Research from the American Psychological Association suggests that stable employment in meaningful work improves an individual’s sense of self-worth and psychological well-being. Conversely, gig and service jobs are linked with higher stress levels, job insecurity, and lower life satisfaction.

Benefits of High-Demand Career Paths

  • According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, fields like healthcare, technology, and skilled trades are projected to see the fastest job growth in the coming decade. Training individuals for these in-demand fields provides not only better pay but also career longevity, which gig work often lacks.

Vocational Training and Upward Mobility

  • Research conducted by the Urban Institute shows that vocational training programs targeting low-income individuals improve economic outcomes by increasing earnings potential and fostering upward mobility. This study highlights the effectiveness of training in transitioning participants from low-paying, unstable jobs to well-paying, in-demand roles.

Community Impact and Giving Back

  • A study from The Aspen Institute underscores that individuals who move from low-wage, gig-based employment to more stable careers are more likely to engage in community-building activities, give back to their local economy, and serve as role models, creating a positive cycle of growth within their communities.
